Power BI now available to Office 365 Education customers or standalone. |
If you use Office 365 Education, new updates launched since February bring you a rebranded Office Online, OneDrive, Power BI (Business Intelligence), Office 365 Message Encryption and much more.
The Microsoft Education in the Cloud blog gives a thorough rundown on the updates, but here are some highlights:
Office Online replaces the previous name of Office Web Apps. Excel Online, Word Online, PowerPoint Online, and OneNote Online are folded into Office Online. And, OneDrive has replaced SkyDrive in the Office 365 user portal.
Power BI for Office 365 is a new service that enables you to search and access data from both internal and external sources, do natural language queries on that data, automatically refresh data and create and share interactive dashboards.
Office 365 Message Encryption (OME) gives secure external encryption on emails outside of your institution.
