“How many times have you been woken up in the middle of a night for an issue that was simply resolved by restarting your website?” writes Apurva Joshi on the Windows Azure blog. “Wouldn’t it be nice to auto detect certain conditions and automatically recover?”

With recent updates to Windows Azure websites, Joshi says, “we have tried to address these questions.” There are some new enhancements to the “Always On” feature and with these enhancements comes the “Auto Healing” feature, the ability to automatically recycle the worker process hosting your Web application.

Read Joshi’s full post about Auto Healing and how it works, based on different scenarios, on the Windows Azure blog.
