Bing Desktop packs the best of Bing in a handy little desktop dashboard that expands when you need it and folds up neatly when it’s not in use. The original version launched last April, putting a quick and easy search experience as well as Bing’s stunning homepage imagery right on your desktop.
An updated version of Bing Desktop released today preserves the elegant simplicity of the original while incorporating new features that make it much more useful. You can search Bing inline within Web pages, documents and many apps without having to launch a browser, get visually rich news updates at a glance and keep an eye on your Facebook notifications. The Bing Search Blog posted a full list of updates today.
If you’re one of the 10 million people who already have Bing Desktop, you’ll get the update automatically in the next few days. If you haven’t tried it yet, download the latest version here.
