Declutter those extraneous Wi-Fi hotspots from Windows 8

If you’re using Windows 8, every time you connect to a wireless network, it saves that Wi-Fi hotspot profile. If you’ve got a minimalist attitude, you might like a way to remove profiles you’re never going to use again.

Scott Hanselman (who works for the Web Platform Team at Microsoft) created a solution for neat freaks – or for those who just don’t like the idea of insecure hotspots. But, he’s the first to admit, “I have written a command line utility to replace another command line utility. I get it. I knew it when I did it. Others smarter than I have done similar things and written utilities that match their way of thinking rather than learning an unintuitive syntax. Don't hate the playa, hate the Regular Expression.”

It’s hard to hate this playa when he’s so darn helpful. Check out his blog to see if his workaround is a good one for you.
