現在 Office 365 の モバイル デバイス管理機能をご利用中のお客様の環境において、下図の通り[モバイル管理] メニューが初期化される事象を確認しております。

加えて、この「始めましょう→」(英語環境では “Let’s get started →”)をクリックした場合においても、モバイル デバイス管理の画面に遷移しないことも確認しております。

■問題の影響

• 登録されたデバイスの ワイプ が出来ません
• デバイスのレポートを表示することが出来ません

現在、この問題について米国側のエンジニアとも状況を共有し修正作業を実施しておりますが、修正までには数日を要する予定です。

この画面が表示されている場合においても、モバイル デバイス管理機能は正常に動作しておりますので設定を変更する必要がある場合においては、上記画面の [管理者] メニューにある “Compliance” を選択すると表示される [コンプライアンス センター] で作業をご継続下さい。

Office 365 ユーザーが OWA および Outlook 2016 クライアントから直接 OneDrive for Business のファイルを添付できる新しいオプションの提供が開始されました。この機能では、OneDrive アカウントに保存されているドキュメントへのリンクを挿入し適切なアクセス許可を付与して送信することができるため、従来のように複数のユーザーに添付ファイルを送信した後、すべてのコメントや変更をまとめて反映するという面倒な作業が不要になります。最新のファイル添付機能では、送信者が OneDrive へのリンクとしてドキュメントを送信すると、受信者全員が 1 つの格納場所でそのファイルを編集することができます。

Office 365 のメールボックスと OneDrive for Business アカウントを所有しているユーザーなら、この機能をすぐにご利用いただけます。

しかし、一部のメールボックスがオンプレミスの Exchange 2016 環境に存在するハイブリッド構成の場合はどうなるでしょうか。たとえば、オンプレミスのメールボックスを使用していて Office 365 で OneDrive for Business アカウントを所有しているユーザーが、最新のファイル添付機能を使用して、OneDrive for Business に保存されているドキュメントを複数の相手と共有するとしましょう。この場合、受信者の場所がオンラインなのかオンプレミスなのか不明でも、問題なくこの機能を使用できます。

この機能が有効化される前に以下の画面が表示されます。OneDrive for Business とオンプレミスの Exchange 2016 でのドキュメント共同編集の構成 (英語)のページの手順に従って機能を有効化してください。

機能が有効化されるとファイル添付機能の動作が変わり、通常のファイル添付ウィンドウではなく、OneDrive for Business の統合エクスペリエンスが表示されます。

OWA からこの新しいエクスペリエンスを利用するには、[New] をクリックしてメッセージを新規作成します。

次に [Attach] オプションをクリックします。

OneDrive for Business の既定の画面が表示されますが、ここからローカル ファイルにもアクセスできます。

次に、[Share with OneDrive] を指定するか、従来のように添付ファイルとして送信するかを選択します。

まとめ

今回の更新により、すぐにクラウドにメールボックスを移行する予定のないお客様でも、オンプレミスの Exchange ユーザーに OneDrive for Business と連携するメリットがもたらされます。この機能を通じてクラウド サービスがもたらす価値をご活用いただきつつ、お客様自身のペースでクラウドへの移行を進めていただきたいと思います。

2014 年の 8 月 7 日に発表いたしました、IE のサポート ポリシー変更まで 1 ヶ月を切りました。
2016 年 1 月 12 日を過ぎると、IE のサポート ポリシーが各 OS の最新版の IE のみへと変更になります。

日本のサポートとしましては、時差を考慮し日本時間 1 月 13 日 (水) の窓口終了時間まで対応を行います。

また、現在サポート チームではこの 3 ヵ月間で例年の 3 倍以上のお問合せをいただいている状況です。
日々対応に尽力しておりますが、調査にお時間に時間を要する場合がございます。

Windows 7 / 8 や Windows Server 2008 R2 / Windows Server 2012 に修正プログラム ( Hotfix ) を適用すると時間がかかるとのお問い合わせを頂いております。
そこで、今回は Hotfix (修正プログラム) を適用する際の時間を短縮する方法について、ご紹介したいと思います。

どのような場合に、修正プログラム ( Hotfix ) 適用に時間がかかるのか
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
セキュリティ更新プログラム等、Windows Update から多くの更新プログラムを適用した環境に対して、修正プログラム ( Hotfix ) を適用すると発生いたします。

たとえば、KB2927725 の場合ファイルとしては、Ntoskrnl.exe のみを修正したものとなりますが、これまで多数のセキュリティ更新プログラム等によって、Ntoskrnl.exe が更新されておりますため、KB2927725 を適用すると完了まで時間がかかる場合がございます。

適用に時間がかかる理由について

修正プログラム ( Hotfix ) 適用時に、適用済みのセキュリティ更新プログラム等に含まれるファイルについて再評価を行っているために、時間がかかります。

セキュリティ更新プログラムなどのパッケージには GDR と LDR の両方が含まれています。
一方で、今回のご紹介例として挙げております、KB2927725 (修正プログラム) では、Ntoskrnl.exe の LDR 版のみ提供しております。

一例となりますが、Windows Update によって最新の状態となっている環境に対して、KB2927725 のような修正プログラム ( Hotfix ) を適用すると、最新のセキュリティ更新プログラムによって適用された Ntoskrnl.exe ( GDR ) より低いバージョンの Ntoskrnl.exe ( LDR ) の適用となるため、修正プログラム ( Hotfix ) 適用後のセキュリティ レベルを保ち、最新の脆弱性に対応するために、適用済みのセキュリティ更新プログラムに含まれております最新の Ntoskrnl.exe ( LDR ) へと切り替えを行います。
このように、システムの整合性を保つために関連するコンポーネントの再評価が実施されます。

適用にかかる時間を短縮する方法について ( 汎用的な対処方法 )

適用済みの更新プログラムが多ければ多いほど、再評価にかかる時間が増加いたしますので、適用済みの更新プログラムについて整理を行うことが有効な対処方法となります。
具体的には、修正プログラム ( Hotfix ) 適用前に、コンポーネントのクリーンアップを実施します。

注意:
コンポーネントのクリーンアップによって、現在使用されていない更新プログラムについては削除されます。
削除された更新プログラムは、システムで適用済みの更新プログラム一覧から無くなりますのでご注意ください。

Windows 7 および Windows Server 2008 R2 の場合

Internet Explorer のサポート ライフサイクル変更に伴い、Internet Explorer 11 (以下 IE 11 ) へ更新する際に、IE 11 の前提更新プログラムを適用時にエラーが発生したとのお問い合わせを頂いております。
そこで、今回は更新プログラム適用時に出力されるエラーに合わせた汎用的な対処方法についてご紹介したいと思います。

後述いたします、"リトライするだけで解決する可能性高いエラーや再適用する必要がないエラーについて" 以外で、更新プログラムのインストールに失敗した場合、まずお試し頂きたいのが、システム更新準備ツールとシステム ファイル チェッカーとなります

システム更新準備ツール

DISM またはシステム更新準備ツールを使用して Windows の破損エラーを修正します。

システム更新準備ツール (KB947821) は Service Pack や 更新プログラムの適用の妨げとなる特定の状態を解消するためのツールです。
実行するとシステム内部の不整合をスキャンし、問題が見つかった場合は自動的に修復を試みます。

このような場合は checksur.log をご参照いただき、修復出来なかったマニフェスト ファイルを含む更新プログラムを、%SYSTEMROOT%\CheckSUR\packages に配置し、再度システム更新準備ツールを実行することで不整合を解消することができます。

個々のエラーの詳細や原因については、ここでは割愛させて頂きますが、どれも指定された処理ができなかったため、いったんインストール作業が中断されたことが原因であるとご理解ください。

一方で以下の 2 つのエラーコードが返って来た場合は、"適用の必要が無い更新プログラム"という意味であるため、リトライは不要でございます。
特に、まとめて更新プログラムを適用する場合、上記にリストさせていただきましたような一過性のエラーによって失敗し、再起動後にリトライしようとすると、既に別の更新プログラムによって、より新しいコンポーネントに置き換わっているため、適用する必要性自体が無くなり、「この更新プログラムはお使いのコンピューターには適用できません。」 (0x80240017 エラー) となる場合がございます。
このような場合は適用する必要はございません。

Chez Microsoft, notre priorité absolue est de trouver des moyens pour que nos applications Office 2016 rendent le travail d’équipe plus facile que jamais. La plupart des entreprises connaissent les applications Office telles que Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Project, Vision et Access. Cependant, dans le but de réinventer la productivité, nous avons introduit la collaboration et le partage d’idées au cœur de ces applications.

Qu’est-ce que cela signifie pour le travail d’équipe dans votre entreprise?
L’un des éléments clés du lieu de travail modern est la possibilité à travailler à distance, grâce à la technologie du cloud et à la technologie mobile. Un espace de travail virtuel centralisé et cohérent
Office 365 Planner est le premier pas vers un travail d’équipe efficace dans le cyberspace. Vous et votre équipe pouvez créer de nouveaux plans ,organiser et répartir des tâches, fixer des délais et mettre à jour l’état d’avancement de votre projet.
Après avoir réparti les tâches, vous devez suivre de près la manière dont chaque partie du projet s’assemble. Office 365 Groups vous propose un espace de travail où vous pouvez partager les e-mails, les conversations, les fichiers et le calendrier d’évènements.
Les membres d’équipe ne peuvent donc pas prétendre ne pas connaître les livrables et les délais quand tout est enregistré sur un tableau d’affichage virtuel et que tout le monde travaille dans le même bureau virtuel.

Collaborer en temps réel
Que vous travailliez dans un bureau réel ou virtuel, l’avantage du travail d’équipe, c’est que vous avez plusieurs pairs d’yeux pour passer en revue le travail important. Mais se renvoyer sans cesse des documents corrigés et des versions différentes dans le cyberspace n’est pas la manière la plus efficace de travailler. C’est pourquoi le co-authoring est un outil très utile. Il s’utilise dans Word, PowerPoint et OneNote et vous permet de voir ce que d’autres personnes tapent en temps réel. Vous pouvez donc collaborer sur un document en même temps et voir exactement où chaque membre d’équipe travaille et ce qu’il est en train d’écrire, mot par mot.
Et en cas de désaccord avec des changements effectués par votre collègue, l’intégration de l’application Skype vous permet d’envoyer des messages instantanés, de partager les écrans, de dialoguer avec ou sans vidéo dans le document sur lequel vous travaillez.

Pas de limites au succès de l’équipe
Ces nouvelles fonctionnalités nées des applications Office 2016 éliminent les obstacles qui entravaient auparavant un travail d’équipe et une collaboration efficaces. Aujourd’hui, les entreprises prospèrent se concentrent sur le flux de communication entre des réseaux dynamiques pour encourager le processus de coconception, et c’est précisément ce à quoi nous aspirons avec Office 2016.

Windows 10 vise à rendre votre interaction avec la technologie aussi naturelle que votre interaction avec les gens, et nous apprécions les applications qui font précisément cela. Voici une liste de huit applications qui améliorent la productivité et qui incarnent notre vision pour Windows 10.

OneNote
OneNote de Microsoft est un bloc-notes qui fonctionne dans le cloud et qui est accessible sur tous types d’appareils dont les téléphones, les tablettes et les ordinateurs portables. Le clipper Web permet d’enregistrer facilement les choses intéressantes que vous trouvez en ligne, mais vous pouvez aussi « coller » des e-mails, des photos et des documents scannés de votre appareil dans votre bloc-notes pour les consulter ultérieurement.

Wunderlist
Wunderlist, qui fonctionne sur la plupart des appareils, est un programme facile à utiliser qui vous aide à planifier vos achats hebdomadaires ou à gérer un gros projet. Taskify
Autre outil de planification, Taskify vous permet sans encombre de créer des listes de choses à faire puis de cocher les choses une fois qu’elles ont été achevées. Vous pouvez créer des listes de tâches à faire au travail ou de responsabilités personnelles, ajouter des notes pour chacune d’entre elles et programmer des rappels pour des délais.

Poki for Pocket
Poki est un client de Pocket, un service qui permet d’enregistrer des articles, des vidéos et des sites Web que vous trouvez en ligne mais que vous n’avez pas le temps de consulter. Vous pouvez utiliser cet outil pour vous envoyer des liens et pour ajouter des signets dans votre navigateur. Lorsque vous n’êtes pas connecté, vous pouvez utiliser Poki pour ajouter à vos favoris, archiver ou ajouter et supprimer des sites.

Trello
Trello est un outil de gestion de projet pour les particuliers et les entreprises. Vous pouvez compiler des idées et des listes sur des tableaux individuels pour des tâches correspondantes, et ajouter du contenu comme des photos, des vidéos, des enregistrements audio et des commentaires pour chaque projet. Lorsqu’ils sont prêts, vous pouvez partager les tableaux de projet avec d’autres membres d’équipe.

Splashtop Business
Avec cette application qui vous permet de travailler à distance, un appareil Windows 10 mobile devient l’extension de votre ordinateur de bureau. Où que vous soyez, vous pouvez accéder aux documents, aux média et aux logiciels enregistrés sur votre ordinateur au bureau.

Team Viewer Touch
Team Viewer Touch est une application spécialisée qui permet d’accéder à distance à d’autres ordinateurs. En téléchargeant Team Viewer sur deux ordinateurs, vous pouvez accéder à l’application pour exécuter des fonctions sur des machines à distance comme par exemple diagnostiquer des pannes ou apporter un soutien commercial en ligne.

Tout le monde a des attentes différentes concernant les applications de productivité, mais avec une telle variété de choix, je suis sûr que vous trouverez celle qui vous conviendra. Nos toutes dernières applications Office, Office 2016, sont conçues pour le mobile et le cloud, dotant ainsi à toutes les entreprises des outils nécessaires pour être plus compétitives. Les entreprises plus petites peuvent désormais facilement rivaliser avec les entreprises plus grandes, et ces dernières peuvent améliorer encore plus leur flexibilité et leur mobilité.

When we talk about Windows Clustering, we are always talking about the need for High Availability.  Clustering is the way we achieve High Availability in the event of a hardware failure of one of your servers.  Clustering ensures that your roles or workloads fail over to another node so users can continue to work. 

What is a Failover Cluster?

A failover cluster is a group of independent computers that work together to increase the availability and scalability of clustered roles (formerly called clustered applications and services). The clustered servers (called nodes) are connected by physical cables and by software. If one or more of the cluster nodes fail, other nodes begin to provide service (a process known as failover). In addition, the clustered roles are proactively monitored to verify that they are working properly. If they are not working, they are restarted or moved to another node. Failover clusters also provide Cluster Shared Volume (CSV) functionality that provides a consistent, distributed namespace that clustered roles can use to access shared storage from all nodes. With the Failover Clustering feature, users experience a minimum of disruptions in service. 

That definition came directly from our Failover Clustering Overview document located here and it also talks in detail, about the practical applications of clustering and the requirements of a clustered environment.  Another thing I want to clarify; Clustering does not require System Center.  Windows Server has a lot of clustering capabilities included in the product.  System Center is beneficial when you have a large number of servers to manage, but in the SMB space, System Center is not needed. 

What can I use a Windows Cluster for?

At this point, you may be asking, What can I use a Windows Cluster for?  As I mentioned, you’ll use a Windows Cluster, when High Availability is needed.  I use my Windows Cluster primarily for virtual machines.  I also have a Highly Available share setup.  Highly Available shares are another benefit of Clustering and provide the ability for a share to exist even through a hardware failure.  Earlier, Steve talked about DFS and its ability to persist even through a hardware failure.  Clustering is another way to achieve this same objective, but for more than just file shares.

What’s new in 2012 R2?

If you are familiar with Clustering from prior versions of Windows Server, we have a great document that calls out the new capabilities in Windows Server 2012 R2 Clustering. 

How do I know it really works?

One of the items I really like about our clustering capability is the validation of the actual cluster before you put your cluster in production.  As an implementer, how do you verify that you implemented a solution properly?  You test it, how long can that take? and what if you forgot something?  With Windows Server Clustering, we have the Validate a Configuration Wizard to ensure your cluster is setup and working properly, before you bet your product environment on it.  You can find the details on validation here. 

What type of hardware is Available?

Of course, by the definition above, clustering requires more than one server and some type of shared storage.  Shared storage means that both servers can simultaneous access the storage.  Shared storage, like a SAN, can be expensive, but there are other options; options like a Cluster in a Box (CiB).  I blogged about the cluster in a box a couple years ago here, and this unit is still running like a champ.  If you want to go down the path of a CiB, we even have a CiB validation kit here.  While I honestly don’t think you’ll want to build your own CiB, you will want to check out some of the validated solutions on the right hand side of the page. 

When you think about delivering on-premises workloads for your customers, remember that a Windows Cluster can deliver a resilient solution at an economical cost.

Kundenprojekt „Wasserversorgung Bayerischer Wald“

Ein Segen für die Wasserwirtschaft: Mit mobilen Geräten zu sauberen Daten

Im November 1963 wurde wegen anhaltender Wasserknappheit im Bayerischen Wald der Zweckverband „Wasserversorgung Bayerischer Wald“ gegründet. Heute versorgt Waldwasser weite Teile Ostbayerns, rund 10 Prozent der Fläche Bayerns, mit Trinkwasser. Ca. 200 Gemeinden reihen sich in die waldwasser-Gemeinschaft.

Um die gleichbleibend hohe Qualität des Trinkwassers zu sichern, sind die Wasserversorger angehalten, ihre Anlagen im festen Turnus zu kontrollieren. Die Ergebnisse ihrer Inspektionen wurden jedoch umständlich auf Excel-Listen festgehalten und dann im Büro eingegeben.

Verbesserungen

Die Bedienung von Windows 8.1 und Office 365 zusammen mit der App überzeugt. Es gibt keinen Medienbruch mehr, die Daten müssen nicht mehr extra übertragen werden. Darüber hinaus hat waldwasser mit SharePoint Online aus Office 365 das Projektmanagement standardisiert, um effektive Prozesse zu erhalten. „Mit den Windows 8.1-Tablets konnten wir den letzten Medienbruch beseitigen und zusammen mit Office 365 wird das Tablet zum kompletten Arbeitsplatz,“ so der Waldwasser IT-Leiter Alfred Zehetmeier.

Increasingly, children from a young age are swiping, poking and punching – on keyboards and computer screens that is. We knew when designing Office 365 and Office 2016 apps that they would be natural tools for the younger generation to learn and share. There is no better place for collaboration than a school classroom. So if you’re a teacher – here are some of the best Office features to introduce teamwork into your classroom - without any hitting, pinching or tears.

OneNote
Working across all devices, OneNote is a great tool for taking notes and sharing ideas. Teachers are using it to collaborate with students, as well as have an individual connection with each student to monitor their progress. This makes teaching more personalised and interactive.

Co-authoring
When it comes to planning assignments and lessons for students, it’s common practice for teachers across disciplines to collaborate. With the new co-authoring tool across Word, PowerPoint and OneNote, this becomes so much easier. Each teacher can be at their own device and can see one another typing in real time. It’s a whole new way of doing the often dreaded teachers’ prep.

Co-authoring is an equally useful tool for students, who no longer need to stay after school to work together, but can work together on a project from home. Added to this, Windows 10 offers Office Mobile apps meaning that students don’t need to have a laptop or a tablet, because they can use their phones like a PC to view, edit, create or even present.

Sway
Once they’ve done the research and put in the hard work, Sway is a great way to transform projects into shareable, interactive stories. Sway makes it quick and easy for students to create and share polished, interactive reports and presentations. Interactive content such as videos and charts bring presentations to life.

Office Mix
Office Mix is another great way to turn PowerPoints into an interactive online presentation. Teachers can also use Office Mix to take a PowerPoint document, and mix it into an interactive, playable document that can be viewed on almost any device, anywhere with an internet connection.

How to create a culture of teamwork in the classroom using Office 365, without the drama

In celebration of the Windows 10 launch, Microsoft shone a spotlight on people and organisations who are doing great things to upgrade their world each day.

Upgrade Your World is a year-long initiative that celebrates people and organisations doing great things, including a series of partnerships with 100 global and 10 local non-profit organisations. Kenya was among ten other countries participating in the global Upgrade Your World initiative this year.

Microsoft asked the people of Kenya to vote for non-profits making a difference in their community in the #UpgradeYourWorld initiative and they spoke up.

“The campaign was received with great enthusiasm and the launch event had over 100 guests in attendance. Kenya has many NGOs doing wonderful work in the community and it was encouraging to see how much interest was generated,” says Kunle Awosika Country Manager of Microsoft Kenya. 

“Based on the votes, we awarded five winners the opportunity to become Microsoft’s newest local non-profit partners. Each received $50,000 in donations and technology that will empower them to continue doing the great work they do, with the assistance of the Microsoft team who will help them design more community-based initiatives to benefit the locals,” he adds.

Africa Yoga Project
Based in Nairobi Kenya, the Africa Yoga Project (AYP) helps youth become employable using the transformational practice of yoga. Through partnerships with previously marginalised youth who are now yoga teachers, AYP currently provides more than 300 free classes per week to more than 6,000 community members. Since it was created, AYP has trained more than 200 yoga teachers in Kenya.
“We at the Africa Yoga Project are thrilled to be recognised by Microsoft and to have had the opportunity to participate in the Upgrade Your World initiative in Kenya,” said Paige Elenson, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Africa Yoga Project.

AISEC
AIESEC in Kenya is a youth-led organisation that runs various programmes in universities with the goal of creating young leaders who will make a positive impact in society. According to Dennis Lugan, President of AIESEC in Kenya, this partnership with Microsoft Kenya will elevate their reach, grow their impact and help them achieve their goal of engaging with and developing every young person in Kenya.

Kids Comp Camp
Kids Comp Camp helps young learners between the ages of 9-14, living in marginalised communities, catch up with the current digital driven society. “We are so excited to be part of this great initiative by Microsoft to upgrade our world. We are glad to be empowered to empower our children and youth to achieve more for themselves and their communities,” said Caleb Ndaka, Kids Comp Camp Lead.

Vision Africa
Vision Africa equips children and young people in Kenya to fulfil their potential and make a difference in their families and communities. By meeting the children’s material and emotional needs, Vision Africa protects the rights of children to have a happy childhood free from neglect, cruelty and exploitation. Working with local partners Vision Africa currently supports over 2,300 children to build a brighter future. “Vision Africa is delighted to be in partnership with Microsoft, we truly believe that partnerships such as this pave the way for wider, more sustainable impact. We look forward to working together to create brighter futures for vulnerable children and young people,” said Deborah Kimathi, Field Director for Vision Africa.

Beacon of Hope
Beacon of Hope is a faith-based, community non-governmental organisation that provides effective services in health, education and economic, youth and social empowerment to the people of Kenya. Their overall goal is to expand Beacon of Hope’s integrated community transformational model throughout Kajiado, Machakos, and Nairobi and replicate it in other countries throughout Africa. The Board of Directors and the entire fraternity of Beacon of Hope expressed its gratitude to Microsoft and is eager to continue empowering the community in sustainable ways through the partnership with Microsoft Kenya.
