Most mobile apps have to perform a few standard functions in order to work properly: create and manage users, save photos, create contact connections between users or send push notifications.
Creating such functionality takes time, and we appreciate just how valuable a developer’s time is in the cutting edge mobile technology market. To that end, Microsoft often partners with companies that can help make developers’ lives easier. One such company is Buddy Platform Inc.
In a guest post over on the Windows Phone Developer Blog, Buddy Vice President of Engineering Shawn Burke provides information on the Buddy Backend as a Service offering, which cuts down on the time developers have to spend building the underlying functionality for creating and managing users, sending push notifications and the like.
“We designed the Buddy platform to replace the work of building those back-end tasks, with just a few easy API calls. Using Buddy, you can focus on writing great mobile apps and not on managing servers,” Burke writes.
