In these new virtual labs, you will get started with initial configuration of System Center 2012 Service Pack 1 – Virtual Machine Manager (VMM). You will configure a System Center 2012 Service Pack 1 infrastructure to prepare the environment for subsequent activities that demonstrate the management, reporting, and administrative capabilities of the System Center 2012 SP1 products. Learn to install the Operations Manager (OpsMgr) and enhance VMWare hosts with VMM. Enhance the management and reporting of the virtual machine environment and install the System Center 2012 SP1 – Operations Manager (OpsMgr) agent and configure it to integrate VMM with OpsMgr. Find out how to integrate Orchestrator to enable workflow automation of a VM Ware environment.

| Activities in these labs include performing an initial configuration of System Center 2012 SP1 – Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) to manage and provision virtual machines by adding Hyper-V host groups and Hyper-V servers in addition to configuring a library server to store re-usable components. To enhance the management and reporting of the virtual machine environment, you will install the System Center 2012 SP1 – Operations Manager (OpsMgr) agent and configure it to integrate VMM with OpsMgr. You will add a third party custom Operations Manager Management Pack that will enhance the management of VMware hosts and virtual machines using Virtual Machine Manager.
