As summer approaches, people are turning to their apps to help make a good vacation great. Recently, the Windows team suggested apps to help plan a trip, and now they’re back with a list of apps to take with you.
The four that made the latest list include FlightAware, to help keep track of your flights so you don’t end up waiting around airports, and Netflix, to take away the pain if you do get stuck waiting, with movies or your favorite TV shows. If you have the Netflix app installed on more than one device, you can start watching something on one and pick up where you left off on the other without losing your place.
Once you get where you’re going, Destination Manager can help you find the nearest ATM, coffee shop, subway station or what have you. Browse a list of categories for the type of place you’re looking for – say a restaurant, drug store, or train station – to see what’s available nearby, and then read reviews from other travelers or simply click to view directions.
Looking for non-touristy, quick food? StreetEats will help you choose from a surprising variety of food trucks and food stands.
Visit the Windows Experience blog for more app roundups to help you save time and enjoy life more using your Windows device.
