The release of Skype for Mac version 6.15 arrived Wednesday, aided in part by users in community forums who helped identify the cause of crashes that the release now fixes.
The new version also fixes a problem where notification settings weren't sticking, and an issue where animated emoticons were using too much CPU.
Some people also reported crashes when screen sharing on MacBook Pros. (To fix that, update to Mac OS X 10.9.2.)
Download Skype for Mac version 6.15 and read more about it on the Skype Garage & Updates blog.
