"Zombie Tsunami" |
Every month, the Next Big Thing collection shines a spotlight on apps and games created by independent developers. The latest group for Windows Phone gives us more than 30 choices that run the gamut in gameplay, from being one of the undead, to escaping from dinosaurs to battling bad robots.
“Zombie Tsunami” twists the usual undead thriller on its head, as you’re part of the staggering hordes that descend upon survivors. Rampage away! And, because we can’t get enough of the walking dead, look out for “Zombie Ragdoll,” and turn the apocalypse into shoot-em-up fun. In “Skelly Rider,” you’re a dapper skeleton on the run from a monstrous Tyrannosaurus Rex. “Galactic Rush” is another endless runner, but in this one you represent humans or other alien races in the biggest race in the galaxy.
"Machinarium" |
“Machinarium” gives you an adventure as a tiny robot that battles villainous robots to rescue a damsel in distress. “Numolition” combines math, building and explosives in a puzzle game that spans more than 50 levels and 120 bonus challenges. Build a card deck of warriors in the Manga card game, “Dengen Chronicles.” For something less complicated, check out “Unroll It.” Move the blocks up, down and sideways to create a continuous path for a little white ball to follow to reach its goal.
Find all these games and more in the Next Big Thing collection in the Windows Phone Store and read more about them on the Windows Phone Blog.
