With Project Spark, you can create your own video games with custom story narratives, game scenery, characters and different scenarios for all of those variables. And now you can do all this using your Windows PC or tablet.

You don’t have to start from scratch. There are walk-throughs, examples and other players’ content you can use to help you finish that first level.

Get in the game by downloading the app and registering for a beta key. And then head over to the Windows Experience Blog to see what it’s like to use Project Spark.

Brandon LeBlanc explains how he’s diving into it. “For my game, I am adding coins into my world that the player has to find as part of the story. For my first game, I decided to go with something basic: you find all the coins in the world … Project Spark is very community-orientated. Once you share your game out for others to play, people in the community can ‘remix’ your game and add things to it or even help you do things you don’t know how to do. For your game, you can see all the remixing people have done. People can also take elements from your game and add them to theirs!”

Check out the Windows Experience Blog for more details on Project Spark and examples of games created by the growing Project Spark community and install the app from the Windows Store.
