With the power of HDInsight, Microsoft is working to democratize big data by connecting companies to previously untouched data sources, while enabling everyone to gain insight through tools in Microsoft Office Excel.
In February, Microsoft will join 2,700 of the world’s leading big data scientists, CIOs and other executives at the Strata conference in Santa Clara, Calif.
Quentin Clark, corporate vice president of the Data Platform Group, will give the keynote address. Herain Oberoi, director of product marketing, and Bryan Hurd, director of advanced analytics for Microsoft Cybercrime Center, will highlight how they use Microsoft’s portfolio of solutions to fight botnets that commit hundreds of millions of dollars of identity fraud ever year.
Microsoft is also hosting a big data hack-a-thon next month to encourage hacking for a good cause. Sign up here, or check out the SQL Server blog for more information.
