MEC Demo 5.5 Now Available!

MEC Demo 5.5 has launched!

The latest demo version of the MEC (5.5) is now available at www.usmec.com.   MEC Demo is the lightweight MEC program alternative that empowers Microsoft and Partner sales teams to deliver the Microsoft platform value and Office 365 story with customers using a single Windows 8 PC and companion device. 

Leveraging the same impactful “day in the life” scenarios of the in person MEC session, a full MEC Demo runs ~30 minutes in total.  Ideal for 1:1 conversations or even 1: many events, MEC Demo is easy to setup, learn and begin delivering  the core messaging that drives sales momentum with IT experts and business professionals alike.

Highlights of the latest MEC Release Now Available in MEC Demo:

  • Windows 8.1
  • Yammer Improvements (outlook plug-in, messaging & chat presence, usage of Yammer groups as DLs, search)
  • Office 365 web app co-authoring
  • Ability to post SharePoint documents directly to Yammer
  • Lync enhancements with Q&A Manager and picture/photo customization
  • New Compete talking points & guidance added to the guide

MEC & MEC Demo O365 trial periods are changing!

The trial period of Office 365 Tenants for MEC (MEC In Person and MEC Demo) will be changing next Friday, January 31, 2014 from 30 days to 90 days. Office 365 Tenants created prior to January 31. 2014 will remain active for 30 days with the ability to request a 1 year extension. As of January 31, 2014 we will be unable to extend any Office 365 tenants
