Students, first-time developers and seasoned professionals alike can learn to create and publish high-quality Windows 8 games faster than ever with Game On Virtual Event site.
The free virtual session and live chat will begin at 10 a.m. PT on June 15. Would-be game developers will use GameMaker: Studio from YoYo Games to learn about different game types, adding graphics to games, and adding levels and sound to games, and will explore other ways to make a game their own. Built-in design options and drag-and-drop tools mean you don’t need to have a game idea or development experience to create a game, but if you’re a pro, you can dig deep into the code to create your game. Game developers can get continued support throughout the week and one-on-one assistance via the GameMaker forums.
