If you’re a fan of zombie apocalypses (sorry, Tyrion won’t be there to help) – or at least trying to survive one – “State of Decay” is a game worth checking out. Developed by Undead Labs and published by Microsoft Studios, the game puts you in an immersive, open world that’s been infested by the undead. Your decisions in game directly impact whether you and your band of survivors live to see another day.
Some of the things you can do to survive this grim new world include designing and fortifying your bases, building up your arsenal and commandeering vehicles to hightail it out of a sticky spot, or running over the hordes of zombies after you. But even if you do escape, you won’t be able relax for a moment – you’ll be organizing raids to salvage supplies, to working to keep yourself and your people in good health, or determining whether other survivors you encounter are allies or threats.
“State of Decay” is available now to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1,600 Microsoft Points.
