Thursday’s Bing home page takes you to a tidal island near Cornwall, England that was said to have once housed a very big resident – a giant.
According to legends, that giant lived in the castle on St. Michael’s Mount and would take advantage of the shallow waters to go into town to steal cattle and sheep. That is, until one day, when he fell into a pit.
“The Mount” – as it’s known to locals, who might also refer to it by its Cornish name, “Karrek Loos yn Koos” (which means "grey rock in the woods”) – has a causeway that you can walk across – at low tide.
Check out the Bing home page and find out more about this island.
