KB: Putting a VMM 2012 host with a 3rd party switch extension into Maintenance Mode fails with error 10434

You may receive the following error message when you try to put a Virtual Machine Manager host (VMM 2012 or VMM 2012 R2) that has a third-party switch extension installed into Maintenance Mode:

10434 No suitable host is available for migrating the existing highly available virtual machines
