Many of us are all about fitness in the new year for about … what, two weeks? Three weeks? Maybe four. But you can increase your odds for success by using the new Xbox Fitness service, featuring tips from famous trainers to achieve your fitness goals.

Kicking off 2014 is Shaun Thompson, also known as Shaun T, shown above, creator of the INSANITY workouts. His program is included in the Xbox Fitness library, along with those by other popular trainers – including Jillian Michaels and Tracy Anderson, reports Xbox Wire.

Xbox Fitness personalizes your workout with high-tech features only possible through the “magic of Kinect for Xbox One,” Xbox Wire writes. Kinect for Xbox One is so advanced, “it not only reads the distribution of your weight and the explosiveness of your movements, but it also provides an analysis of the areas of the body you are working and tracks your pulse, touch free.”
Xbox Fitness is free with your Xbox Live Gold membership until January 2015, only on Xbox One.

Shaun T’s tips include making sure you schedule your workout time like you would any other appointment. “You’re more likely to stick with it,” he says. And: Leave your sneakers and workout clothes out so you’re “ready to go first thing in the morning or as soon as you get home.”
