The Windows Phone Store just added some old favorites, with some big-time modern touches: “Microsoft Solitaire Collection,” “Microsoft Mahjong” and “Microsoft MineSweeper.”
With these Xbox classics, you can earn achievements, compete with your friends, submit your scores to leaderboards and track your personal gameplay statistics. And this is even more awesomesauce: you can play, pause and resume these games across Windows Phones and Windows 8 PCs and tablets. So wherever you go, you can continue your brain twisting.
The “Microsoft Solitaire Collection” includes variations such as Klondike, Spider, FreeCell and TriPeaks. And, as you can see from the image above, “Microsoft Mahjong” updates the tile matching game with beautiful imagery and intuitive controls. Finally, “Microsoft MineSweeper” tests your logic skills, and adds updated graphics and sound. Play with a touch of your finger to mark the locations of all the mines without uncovering any of them. Start with an Easy puzzle and work your way up to Expert.
