The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration recently announced that it is allowing the use of small portable electronics in airplane mode at any altitude. That’s great news for fliers and for app developers, as reported on Microsoft’s Partner Network blog.
Jenni Flinders lists six ways companies are helping people get more done while traveling from Point A to Point B. For instance, Microsoft partner Infusion worked with the Avis Budget Group to help its customers book car rentals, confirm existing reservations and more, all while their planes are leaving the gate.
And solutions like Timeline and Pipeline from AvePoint, and CWR Mobile CRM from Microsoft Dynamics partner CWR Mobility, help travelers stay current on the latest business opportunities and forecasts while on final approach.
