Each week, we bring you a new app recommendation from one of our colleagues. This week’s Staff App Pick comes from Tom Blake, an Enterprise Product Group Account Manager at Microsoft.
As the parent of a son who plays high school football and basketball, having access to the Hudl app for Windows is absolutely awesome. Hudl provides online video analysis and coaching tools to sports teams at all levels, and is currently being used by high schools, colleges, youth leagues and professional teams across the U.S.
The app is free with your Hudl membership and allows you to watch any videos that you’ve uploaded to your Hudl account. Additionally, you can view breakdown data you’ve added to your video clips – all you need is an Internet connection.
It’s been extremely fulfilling to be able to go back with my son and watch some of his most memorable plays using the app’s easy-to-use interface. He also built his own highlight video for football recruiting, and he is set to leverage that video as he moves into his junior and senior years of high school.
Another benefit the app provides? If I can’t attend one of his games in person because I’m traveling for business, I can still catch the entire game on my Surface Pro at my hotel within hours of it ending. Hudl is by far one of my favorite apps today.
If you don’t have a Hudl membership, you can go to hudl.com to sign-up or start a free trial. Download Hudl from the Windows Store today.
