Consider we have a policy which has Default Policy tag (DPT),which means that this tag is going to process all the folders in the mailbox. Our requirement is to exclude Inbox from being processed by DPT.
If DPT has an action other than move to archive,we can simply create a disabled RPT for Inbox,to meet our requirement..
But if the DPT has an action move to archive and we create a disabled tag for Inbox, the DPT will still process the Inbox folder, move items to Inbox in the Archive and on this Inbox in archive the disabled tag for Inbox would be applied.
In Exchange 2013,we can now apply Personal tag on default folders.
In the same senario,if we apply a disabled Personal tag to Inbox folder,DPT with move to archive wont process the Inbox folder.
