Mahesh:  Who are you, where are you, and what do you do? What are your specialty technologies?
Durval : Well Mahesh, many want to know who is behind the helmet of the famous image in the history of Star Wars (my avatar).
I'm Database Administrator in a large company of scan and store documents business.
I'm a authentic "son of Moóca"(district colonized by italians) in São Paulo - Brazil, who loves the nature and travel, mainly to learn about the customs and culture of the region that visit. Today I live in Barueri city, where large companies receive government incentives for service provision and quality of life of its residents.
I have dedicating my time to improve my knowledge in SQL Server and T-SQL, but I worked for 19 years in software development client \ server and web, and distributed applications
using COM + in VB 4 (16 and 32 bits), VB 5, VB 6, VC++ 6, VB.Net and C# (up to .Net Framework 4.0);
Also worked as a Systems Administrator versioning Visual SourceSafe and Team Foundation Server.

Mahesh: What are your big projects right now?
Durval : I have two major projects that are my goal: Finish my MCSE SQL Server - "Data Platform" and perform the translation of some articles that I consider fundamentals to our Community TechNet Wiki.

Most articles are selected about to the Guidelines work on TechNet Wiki for Community in Brazil and my main focus of study, SQL Server administration and development of the T-SQL language.

For our international community, it's course that I can not leave translate into English some good articles written in Portuguese by the Brazilian Community that deserve recognition and should be shared to continue helping and improving the knowledge of all  that are part of the TechNet Wiki.
I believe that this integration will only make our content TechNet Wiki stronger and with more quality.

Mahesh: What is TechNet Wiki for? Who is it for?
Durval: I like the amount of people with great knowledge in different platforms and tools from Microsoft, indicating solutions and development tips, maintenance and study that did not find in other Web sites or blogs.
There is much information and it's also possible to supplement good articles with new content, with based on our experience of work.
This is an incredible resource, which only Technet Wiki provides.

Mahesh: What do you do with TechNet Wiki, and how does that fit into the rest of your job?
Durval: Actually the TechNet Wiki became in my main "Knowledge Base" of the work.
Everything that need, I search in TechNet Wiki, and when not found content, I try to search in "Bing" to learn and apply to my needs.
When find the solution, I ready starting to prepare a new article.

Mahesh: What is it about TechNet Wiki that interests you?
Durval: I have several interests at TechNet Wiki, but what more let me motivates to always be watching this "tool" is the exchange of knowledge among Community members.
This process is so dynamic and strong that stimulates the always learn more.

Mahesh: You collaborated with other community members on #TNWiki? What was that experience like?
Durval: Well Mahesh, this is a good question. I had several experiences creating and editing articles on our community. Some good, some not so good, but I always learned a lot from the people I talked to.
I also learned that we must take special care to create articles for the different cultures and people who research and read the articles in a Community large as our TechNet Wiki.
The rules are clear and available to everyone, but I realized that few to know well, and this is something I want to help improve. It's important that experienced Wiki Ninja's can direct, with respect everyone, when there is some divergence to the ideal shape of the articles.
I recommend reading periodic of the article "User Experience Guidelines" (for Ninjas "novices" and "Black Belt").

Mahesh: On what Wiki articles do you spend most of your time?
Durval: At this time, I try to contribute to many articles on TechNet Wiki guidelines, but search for the articles on SQL and BizTalk Server.
One of the best features of our Community is that every day, new interesting content deserve to be read and, in some cases, complemented by our work experience.

Mahesh: What are your favorite Wiki articles you’ve contributed?
Durval: I admit that my favorite article is still not finalized (if someone wants to edit too, I appreciate)
and it's only in Portuguese, but it is one of my first articles and have a special affection.
The article is "Criando um Plano de Execução no SQL Server", which translated to English means
"Creating an Plan Guide in SQL Server".

Mahesh: What are your top 5 favorite Wiki articles?
Durval: I really like articles that compile various links of information on the same subject.
It's simple and you whenever find interesting information in "routine visits" that would hardly find. I will state here some of the articles that I compiled more access:

Mahesh: Who has impressed you in the Wiki community, and why?
Durval: I do not know if the correct term would be "impressed", I believe that these people are my references of work and, why not say, for all the Community TechNet Wiki:

I not had the pleasure of talking with Luigi, but Naomi is smart, friendly, and writes very well.
I recommend, to everyone, to read the articles created by both of them.
Because I am Brazilian and proud to appreciate all that is good, especially in my country, I can not fail to mention our Wiki Ninjas:

Mahesh: What does success look like for TechNet Wiki?
Durval: I think the interesting content available for consultation and the possibility to interact with other highly qualified professionals, complementing or
changing the content created by you, will only make with that all the members of this Community TechNet Wiki, professionals and people better.
For this reason, I'm committed to helping increasingly and feel that is to be a Wiki Ninja.
