Los Angeles-based City National Bank, the 25th largest bank in the U.S. with more than $29 billion in assets, has begun replacing its laptops and PCs with Surface Pro devices to both empower their employees and engage their customers.
But as the Surface Blog reports, “They also need something that can deliver the promise of mobility for their employees and customers, without compromising security, connection to the business, productivity or data.”
"We looked at multiple options out there, and as soon as we saw the Surface device, we recognized right away that this was a unique device that really fit the bill for what we are looking for," shares Jim Ellaboudy, City National Bank's senior vice president of business and technology services.
The nearly 60-year-old financial institution has 77 offices in five states, and now “City National colleagues have access to all of the necessary apps and information – in a faster, secure, lightweight form. It’s the one device they can use – on the road or in the office – to deliver a high-end, technology-rich experience for all the bank’s clients.”
