Though in the U.S. we’ve just ended a big holiday week with Thanksgiving, the month ahead also looms large with parties and family reunions – which maybe means working remotely more as you’re coming and going on planes, trains and automobiles.
As the Skype Workspace Blog reports, there are a few ways Skype “can help smooth over any challenges when you, or your colleagues and partners, are OOO.” (AKA “out of office.” But, some of us here use “OOF” for that, too.)
The blog makes some recommendations, including call forwarding, free voicemail, changing your mood message (to ensure your professional contacts know when you’re away from the office, on the road or unavailable), ongoing group chats (incredibly useful for teams when everyone’s not available at the same time, so absent team members can catch up when they log back on) and recording free video messages when a professional contact is unavailable.
Get more details about all those tips on Skype’s Workspace Blog and go OOO (or OOF!) with the peace of mind that you won’t miss anything while you’re away.
