Season two of the Office 365 “Garage Series” videos kicked off Wednesday with a very helpful side-by-side comparison of two big Office products: Office 2013 and Office 365.

As featured on the Office 365 technology blog, this installment of the series focuses on the key advantages of both the Office 2013 single license, single device option, and the subscription-based service with Office 365.

“Garage Series” host Jeremy Chapmansays that the two offerings do have a shared foundation: “No matter which option you choose you get the full version of all your familiar Office applications. No matter which option you choose it will run locally off your device. The main difference…is that Office 365 is connected to you as a user which means that you can install on multiple devices, up to five, and your content and files will roam with you. Because Office 365 is delivered as a service the new features and updates can also be delivered to you more dynamically.”

Watch the video to get into all the details of which Office might work best for you, and find out how flamenco dancers from Madrid figure into a race between Office 365 ProPlus and older versions of Office.

Read the Office 365 technology blog to get more insights from Chapman and his co-host in this episode, Tal Krzypow.
