Building a new version of Excel for the Web means a lot of prioritizing – but you help decide what features goes into it. You’ve helped put adding and editing comments, Android tablet support and printing to PDF – among many other suggestions -- on a list of features that are currently on the Excel Web App team’s list of what they want to include in the next version. Now, the Excel Blog tells you what’s next in the pipeline for the Excel Web App, and how you can still weigh in on that process.

Through feedback from SkyDrive and Office 365 customers and companies, anecdotal feedback and usage data, the team listened to what people wanted to see in the online version of this powerful tool.

The team also pays close attention to the competition: “We always want to make sure that we're the best at the things we do, so when there's a competitive product doing things for which we think Excel should be used, we want to change that situation.”

Spreadsheets can scare some people (hand raised), but once you’ve got the hang of them, you find Excel to be an amazing tool, capable of everything from simple lists and budgets to much more complex tasks. And with every update, the Web version comes closer and closer to the full functionality of the desktop – thanks to your diligent feedback.

So check out the Excel Blog for the rest of the story, and to see what other features the team has got on the list for the Excel Web App – and take the survey to make sure your voice is heard as they’re building the next version.
