Indie Windows Phone developers have come up with some creative additions to The Next Big Thing collection. The Windows Phone Blog has a round-up of six favorites from the collection that are “the perfect antidote to the end of summer blues and a fun distraction from work or school.”
In “Muffin Knight,” the protagonist is a little boy who suffers from an old fairy’s strange curse: every magical muffin he touches turns him into a different creature. To turn him back into a boy, you’ll need to return the muffins to the fairy. “Joining Hands 2” is a sequel to a big gaming hit that comes with more than 140 challenging levels. In “Piggly,” the matriarch swine faces many obstacles on what should seem like a simple mission: to bake delicious homemade apple pies for her piglets.
The Windows Phone Blog’s Michael Stroh sums up the free “Skill Game” best: “It’s Connect the Dots on steroids.” Now, for something a little different, “Fly Johnny Fly” gives you a crash test dummy to fling around to advance safety and science. Finally, there’s “Zombie Village.” In this game, you’re cast as the only surviving citizen of another world and you’ve got to fight off the wandering undead.
Read the Windows Phone Blog for more details on these favorites, and check out the rest in the latest Next Big Thing collection.
