Q: (from Philip)
I have a client who is looking to migrate to Office 365. They are currently using POP accounts. Is this possible to run a hybrid environment while still using POP? Hey would like to move 15 out of 75 accounts to Office 365.
A:
I believe the preferred solution is to redirect all email to Office 365/Exchange Online and then let Exchange Online keep the messages for mailboxes hosted there and relay all other messages to the POP server. I did a Bing search on “Hybrid Exchange Online POP” and found the following article:

Actually the real preferred solution is just to keep everything in Office 365!
